To Turkey AF in 1972 as 56-3884 and crashed at Bor/Nigde 26 November 1974. The Statue of Liberty badge on the tail identifies this as belonging to 48th TFW which had relocated from Chaumont-Semoutiers to Lakenheath (EGUL) the year before. (Note the junior spotter in the foreground equipped with ubiquitous Brownie 127 camera.) This photo was added on 7 May 2022, and has since been viewed 608 times. |
