Originally built for USAAF as P-51D 44-74441. Transferred to RCAF in November 1950. Sold surplus to Trans Florida Aviation in October 1959 and registered with FAA as N9149R. Sold to J.W. Fornof in August 1962, who painted the P-51D in the same markings as his F8F Bearcat. In March 1972 Mr. Fornof sold the a/c to Dunagon/Crawford & Co. On 30 December 1972 the a/c was destroyed in a fatal crash in Georgia. This photo is copyright © Bob Thomas, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
