Just after midday departure off Rw 05 operating as Envoy40 for Launceston. With the (then) impending federal election, politicians were criss-crossing the country, and utilising available RAAF personnel transports in conjunction with chartered Alliance Fokker 70 aircraft operating with RAAF flight codes. Then opposition leader Anthony Albanese had been in Adelaide that morning and presumably was aboard A32-002, while the accompanying aircraft had been Alliance Fokker 70 VH-QQW operating as Envoy70.
