After midday departure off Rw 05 operating as Envoy70 for Launceston. With the (then) impending federal election, politicians were criss-crossing the country, and utilising available RAAF personnel transports in conjunction with chartered Alliance Fokker 70 aircraft operating with RAAF flight codes. Then opposition leader Anthony Albanese had been in Adelaide that morning and presumably was aboard RAAF BBJ A36-002, while this was the accompanying aircraft.
