Rebuilt from c/n 12979 as an R4D-8 for the US Navy as 17190 in 1952. Redesignated as a C-117D in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 6C042 in 1976. To Hawkins and Powers Aviation as N4504W in 1983. Reregistered as HI-545CT in 1984 then CP-2421 in 2002. Being restored for LAC Lineas Aereas Canedo.
