Rebuilt from c/n 9620 as an R4D-8 for the US Navy as 12437 in 1953. Redesignated as a C-117D in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 6C061 in 1979. Registered as N8538R in 1980. To Skyfreighters in 1984 and Reregistered as N306SF in 1985. Sold in 1990. Reregistered as N44GH in 1993. Still current on the register owned by Flight Data Inc. in 2022.
