Built in 1947 and first registered to Air Schools Ltd of Wolverhampton on 14th July 1947. 57 years later the CofA expired and the registration was cancelled by the CAA on 24th August 2004. At the time this photograph was taken, G-AKBO was registered to the White Rose Flying Group based at Sherburn-in-Elmet, half-way between Castleford and Selby in North Yorkshire. In 2010 it returned to Sherburn undergoing restoration to flying condition, and was restored to the UK civil aircraft register on 14 July 2010 - 63 years to the day after it was first registered.
