The Azerbaijan AF started to send fighter jets to TurAz (Turkey-Azerbaijan) Falcon exercises in 2016. Then in 2021, it also started to participate in the multinational Anatolian Eagle exercise, by sending a small contingent of MiG-29 and / or SU-25 jets to Konya. Very little is known about the Azerbaijan AF SU-25 fleet, believed to consist of some 40 aircraft based at Kürdəmir AB.
