This AMX carries a special tail indicating one of the former AMX units, the 101st Gruppo. On the other side of the tail are the 132nd Gruppo markings. In 2019, four AMX aircraft were painted in special colours to celebrate the type's 30th anniversary with the Italian Air Force. All (former) AMX unit markings were applied to these four aircraft. The 101st Gruppo actually belongs to 32nd Stormo. In 2022, the markings were still on the aircraft when it visited RIAT 2022.
