Found by US troops when Göttingen was occupied. Formerly 42-75971, it had landed in Germany after the pilot flew a reciprocal heading in error during a ferry flight on May 29, 1944. Pilot made a PoW and the aircraft evaluated at Rechlin. Found at Göttingen with other Allied aircraft.
