The original SAAF display team the Bumbling Bees formed at Langebaanweg in 1953 with Harvards and later De Havilland Vampires. The team disbanded in the late 1950s and re-formed with the MB326 Impala in 1966, re-naming to the Silver Falcons in 1967. In 1992 the team moved to Hoedspruit with 85CFS and the remaining SAAF Impala fleet. With the retirement of the Impala from SAAF service they moved back to Langebaanweg in 1998 to transition to the PC7 Astra.
