The red panels on the fin and wings are a relic from A97-011's 1982/81 air tanker trials. I was fitted with a modular system with fire retardant tanks inside the cabin and two large pipes hanging over the rear cargo ramp. The RAAF trials did not continue the following fire season. -011 has been preserved at the RAAF Museum.
