Delivered to the USAAF as C-54D 42-72487 then transferred to the US Navy as R5D-3 56489 in 1945. Redesignated as a C-54S in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 3C064 in 1970. Sold as N96451 in 1974. To Central Air Service in 1980 and converted to a fire bomber then to Maricopa Aircraft Service in 1991 and stored at Avra Valley/Marana Regional from 1993.
