Amazingly The Oregon Journal really used this helicopter in 1947, until it crashed at a golf course after a flight from the newspaper's headquarters on 21 December of that year. Aeronca NC82961 is on the left. The old Grants Pass airfield was closed and replaced by 3S8 in the 1960s.
