This DC-9 was originally delivered to Eastern as N8938E in February 1968 and flew with the airline until January 1991. It then went to Zenith Airlines as 5N-GIN and then to Nothwest in May 1994, reverting to its original registration. The frame was ferried to MZJ for storage in August 2008 but was briefly returned to the fleet from June to December 2009, after which it returned to MZJ and was eventually scrapped.
