Surrendered to the Allies in 1945 and later flown to Farnborough for evaluation, being allocated the RAF serial VK893 in September 1945 in place of the Air Ministry number AM51. By 1947 it was in the Cranwell station museum where it remained until 1960. It was allocated the maintenance serial 8482M on 16 February 1976, and later that year moved to Cosford.
