December 1942, rolled out from Douglas Aircraft Company factory Santa Monica, CA. Delivered to the USAF as C-53C, reg 43-2033 in 1942. State of Finland purchased the aircraft 1948 to Aero and it became OH-LCH, flying first scheduled passenger flight July 21st, 1948. Was written from use 1960, but taken back in use 1963 with a freight door. Operated by Aero/Finnair to April 1, 1967. Operated from 1970 to 1985 by Finnish Air Force as DO-11. To Airveteran as OH-LCH 1986 which operates the aircraft still summer 2022, soon 80 years after first flight.
