Cuba ordered ten T-28As, numbered 150 to 159. Following the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro's Revolutionary Air Force (FAR) tried to get these Trojans delivered through Air International in Miami, but this did not go ahead. Some of them are seen here in FAR markings. It is unlikely that they have anything to do with anti-Castro rebel flights, as the source suggests. Joe Baugher's website gives FY 1949 serials for the ten T-28As, but not tie-ups. Photo by: Hank Walker / Life This photo was added on 8 September 2022, and has since been viewed 494 times. |
