This is one of 45 examples of the MXY7-K1 Ohka glider completed and used to train pilots for kamikaze attacks with the Model 11 Ohka. This training version had to be re-used and so is equipped with a landing skid and flaps. It also carried water ballast, which was expelled before landing, in place of explosives and the rocket motor. This example is now on display within the WWII Gallery at the National Museum of the USAF. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
