This was the 163rd and last Varsity built, replacing WJ900 which was diverted to the Swedish Air Force. According to the December 2012 edition of Classic Aircraft, XD366 was built "largely from spares" and as a result apparently exhibited "some unpleasant flying characteristics". It was scrapped at Little Rissington in 1969 after being used for fire practice. This photo is copyright © Chris England, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
