This Britannia was originally delivered to El Al in September 1957 and short term leased to Globe Air for a few days in spring 1963. One year later (April 1994) it was finally bought by Globe Air. It was sadly lost at Nicosia on 20 April 1967 on second aproach for a technical stop on a flight from Bangkok to Basel. Only four occupants of 130 survived.
