The pilot of this Fw-190 became lost and landed at RAF Pembrey on June 23, 1942, after mistaking the Bristol Channel for the English Channel. It was test flown with the RAF roundels and the serial MP499. Used to develop tactics to counter what was then the latest Luftwaffe fighter. MP499 struck off charge in 1943.
