One of three B-36s converted as director aircraft for the Bell GAM-63 Rascal air-to-surface missile. In 1955 replaced by DB-47 Stratojets which took the missile into operational service. Rascal program terminated in 1958 in favour of the AGM-28 Hound Dog.
