Delivered to the USAAF in Jan. 45 as 44-72364 and allocated to the 353rd FG, 8th AF to be flown with distinction by Lt. Harrison B. "Bud" Tordoff, an ornithology student who named her after the Hoopoe (Upupa epops). Post war service was with the Swedish AF as FV26061 and the Dominican AF as FAD1916.
