Built for the USAAF as C-54E 44-9144 but delivered to the US Navy as R5D-5R 90414 in 1945. Redesignated as a C-54R in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code 3C118 in 1973. Sold as N48163 in 1975. Reregistered as N904DS in 1977. To Millardair as C-GQIB in 1978. Sold as N500EJ in 1990. To the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation in 1994. Damaged beyond repair by a Tornado at Walterboro, SC in 2020. Replaced by 22178 which was reregistered as N500EJ.
