Postwar production DC-4-1009 fresh out of overhaul and the paint shop on October 20, 1953 at Oakland. Ex California Eastern Airlines N228A. This and a few surplus C-54s had dark rectangles painted around its oval windows to make it look more modern. Taken with the Kodak 616 Monitor on Kodak Verichrome Pan film.
