Every year, each Finnish Air Force squadron would deploy to the civilian airport Oulu for their annual shooting camp. This usually took place in May/June to make use of the nearly 24 hours of daylight. It wasn't uncommon that 5 or 6 flights a day took place! During our (first) visit in May 1990, this was about the only Draken left with the big roundel on the nose and the huge serial on the fuselage. Most aircraft had already adopted the small roundel / serial combination on the nose by then.
