In reality this airframe has no US military history being shipped new to the French Army in 1957 and used in the Algerian war. US Army serial 14618 (51-4618) was an L-19A c/n 21503 whose fate is unknown. Sadly N4431C was substantially damaged in a landing accident at Lloyd Stearman Field Airport (1K1), Benton, KS., on 11th March 2019. The details and some photos of the crash can be found at https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/222858.
