This Piper PA-23, C-GHJT of Pacific Pilot Upgrading "landed wheels up on a sand area when the engine lost power" at the southeast end of Vancouver International Airport on August 31, 1975. The aircraft was imported to Canada in 1974 and cancelled from the Canadian registered Sep. 1987 after the company went out of business. The registration C-GHJT has been subsequently allocated to five different Sikorsky S-76s and one Bell 206L-1 LongRanger operated by Helijet International. Today, Helijet's main base at YVR is just north of where this PA-23 crash occurred in August 1975. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
