This F-14 was #11 of 12 pre-production test aircraft and was tasked (amongst other things) with ensuring that the Tomcat was in fact suitable for carrier use. It was transferred from the General Dynamics facility at Pomona to the March Field Air Museum for display in Sept. 1992. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
