VH-ANN was built as a DC-3-384 but was impressed as C-49 41-7687 before delivery. It served with the USAAF, RAAF and airline ANA in Australia and Papua New Guinea during World War II with the call sign VHCDB. ANA purchased it in 1946 and converted it back to DC-3 standard (as VH-ANN) and installed Wright Cyclone engines like other DC-3s in its fleet. -ANN was withdrawn from use in 1966 and scrapped in 1967.
