Constructed as Spitfire LF.IXc. Ex PV202 with the RAF and served with several units after WWII. Spitfire Tr.IXc. in 1950 and to the Irish Air Corps in June 1951 as 161. Withdrawn from use in December 1960. Became an instructional frame at Baldonnel between 1960 - 1968. Dismantled and stored with the Strathallan Collection between 1970 - 1979. In August 1979 G-BHBG was reserver but not taken up. Became G-TRIX in July 1980. Crashed at Goodwood in April 2004. Restored between 2003 - 2005 and became G-CCCA. throughout the years it has flown in various liveries and markings.
