Originally built as a 1049E for Qantas Empire Airways (VH-EAA) in 1955 who retired it in 1961. In 1963 was temporary registered N9714C and in 1964 went to WWA until 1966 receiving again N9714C registration. Its final user was LAER - Líneas Aéreas Entre Ríos using the Argentinian registration LV-IXZ from June 1967 to April 1970.
