This L-17 was delivered to the USAF in Feb. 1949. Over the next years it served with various Commands, Groups and ROTC detachments but by 1970 had been sold for scrap. Fortunately the remains were rediscovered in 1993 and underwent a five-year restoration to airworthy standard. It is now privately owned but on display at the MAPS Air Museum. Note, N91173 was originally associated with a different Navion that crashed at Toledo OH. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
