Photographer: Svatopluk Hrncirik. K25 slide scan. Built 1964 for Soviet Air Force. Czechoslovak Air Force 1980, Czech Air Force 1993, stored Kbely 1996. Air Sofia LZ-SFJ 1997, leased to Mandala Airlines 10 September 1999. Undershot and crashed on approach to Pekanbaru 29 September 1999. Looking rather tatty the aircraft was repainted shortly afterwards for its regular appearences in the west in the early 1990's. This photo was added on 23 January 2023, and has since been viewed 351 times. |
