The heavily-armed P-61 was the first aircraft specifically designed by the US as a night-fighter. This Black Widow is on display at the National Museum of the USAF as 'Moonlight Seranade', a P-61B assigned to the 550th NFS serving in the Pacific in 1945. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
