A79-651 is displayed at the Amana Memorial which marks the loss of DC-4 VH-ANA "Amana" that crashed near York, Western Australia, on June 26, 1950. At 29 dead, it is the equal worse air crash of an Australian aircraft. The Vampire was retired in 1970 and has been displayed at several sites over the years This photo is copyright © David Caughey, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
