Experimental aircraft designed to explore the characteristics of the tailless delta wing configuration. First flew as a P.111 in 1950. Modified to a P.111A after an accident and first flew as such in 1953. Last flew in 1958 then used as a ground trainer at Cranfield. To the Midland Air Museum at Coventry in 1975.
