Quite a home! The FAB still uses the hangar built in Rio by the German Zeppelin company to shelter the transatlantic airships D-LZ127 Graf Zeppelin and D-LZ129 Hindenburg. It was inaugurated on 26 December 1936, just a few months before the Hindenburg disaster at Lakehurst terminated Zeppelin operations. Fortunately this unique building is a listed monument.
