This Airtourer was ordered by Piper via RQAC. It was marked with the US registration at Bankstown, and sent to Queensland for crating, but the delivery was cancelled. The aircraft was then sold to New Guinea pilot as VH-MUB, but crashed off Mackay on 24 July 1964.
