This Skyhawk had to make an emergency crash landing onto a football field in the Ebersberger Forst (Forrest) to the East of Munich after engine failure. The wings were torn off and engine and fuselage heavily damaged but, fortunately, both the pilot and passenger escaped unhurt. This is something of a bonus picture for me as the hulk is presently stored in one of the rotating hangers at EDME and only became visible for a few seconds as the turntable operated.
