VH-ASD was operated by Maurice Oliver at the time of the photo. He had planned to use the aircraft for cattle mustering. It was not as successful as hoped and the aircraft was sold. It crashed at Quamby, Queensland, on February 9, 1955. Aerial cattle mustering was later widely adopted initially with fixed wing aircraft but now more commonly with light helicopters.
