Middle Wallop hosted the 2nd FAI World Helicopter Championship in July 1973 culminating with the Army Air Day on 28th July. The display opened with representative aircraft flying past carrying their team/country flag. G-AYBE is carrying the Union Jack representing Great Britain. To F-GALU in June 1977. Restored as G-CBHH in March 1996, to G-GUST August 1996. Cancelled as Permanently Withdrawn From Use March 2011 with Cof A expired May 2008.
