A4-47 was one of four Ansons from 21 (City of Melbourne) Squadron deployed to Darwin to assist three Wellesley aircraft from the RAF Long Range Development Unit that had flown in non-stop from Egypt. The Ansons accompanied the aircraft on their travels around Australia. A4-47 served with the RAAF until it was stored in 1945. Disposed of in 1947.
