The EC-135 was a command and control version of the Stratolifter that had been modified for Operation Looking Glass missions. During the Cold War these aircraft were continually airborne to serve as flying command platforms in the event of nuclear war. This plane served with the 4th ACCS/28th WG and was retired to AMARG during June 1992 with the PCN/Inventory No. AACA0022. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
