This PZL-Mielec M-18A Dromader was imported to Canada in June 1995 and operated by Epandair Inc. of St-Mathias, Quebec until sold in June 1998 to Hicks & Lawrence Ltd. of St. Thomas, ON. Mervin Hicks partnered with Thomas Lawrence in 1950 to establish a crop spraying business in 1950 and later expanded into aerial firefighting and and operating bird dog aircraft for air tankers. The spray fleet was sold to Supermarine Aircraft owned by the Martindale family in 2001. They operated a total of 21 different M-18s, including C-FJGB which was exported in 2018.
