One of two F-11 Tigers to be displayed on Intrepid, lately this one is displayed in its Blue Angles colour scheme which it wore from 1961 - although it is recorded as #3 not #5. Earlier from 1958 to 1961, it was as part of squadron VF-33, which had transitioned to the supersonic F-11 Tiger from the FJ-3 Fury and was renamed Astronauts.
