Another angle on this magnificent machine, that was at the cutting edge of technology when the type entered service in 1971. All the more impressive as it was almost entirely developed and built in Sweden, from airframe to highly advanced electronics to ejection seat. Only the engine was an adapted version of the commercial JT8D. The AJS37 was an upgraded version of the AJ37 (Attack-Jakt) ground attack fighter.
