Registered to Saunders-Roe Ltd 23 July 1959, transferred to Westland Aircraft Ltd 14 February 1962. In the meantime it had gone to the Army Air Corps in September 1961 as Westland Scout AH.1/P.531 XR493. To Middle Wallop for ground instructional use as 8040M on -2 December 1968, to Fleetlands by June 1969 and transferred to RAFO Museum, Seeb, Oman.
