The helicopter had been leased by the UK company AIRTRACK to carry passengers from a temporary helipad on sports fields in north Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, (Coordinates: 52.061144, -0.824367), into Silverstone Circuit where the 1989 British F1 Grand Prix was being held; it is still active in the USA as N618CK with the Coman Corp. of White City, OR.
